Last 101 List

I decided to leave this tab, even though I'm not doing the 101 in 1001 project anymore.  I wanted to keep this list as a reminder of some goals I've set for myself. 

This is my updated 101 list, started July 27, 2010 and ending on April 22, 2013.

  1. Knit or crochet one amigarumi
  2. Sew a skirt for the television stand
  3. Color every page in a coloring book
  4. Complete a woodworking project with Bryant
  5. Complete a quilt
  6. Create a bunch of cards to have on hand for spontaneous giving (thank you, birthday, anniversary, etc..)
  7. Complete and display a cross stitch project
  8. Make a piece of jewelry for myself
  9. Learn to knit socks two at a time on one long needle
  10. Complete the Lover's Knot afghan and give to Reva and Michael (this one was previously listed as Private)
  11. Write a children's book
  12. Create and send Christmas cards each year
  13. Make a decorative Christmas stocking each year
  14. Sew a nightgown or pajamas for myself
  15. Take a photo every day
  16. Take up archery and become proficient at it
  17. Make soap - liquid and bar
  18. See a play
  19. Listen to every CD we own, keep a journal to record the experience
  20. Have a completely free date with Bryant
  21. See a movie at a drive in theater
  22. Attend a Renaissance Faire
  23. Go to a baseball game with Mom
  24. Host a Halloween party
  25. Complete "Wreck This Journal"
  26. Make a list of 101 things that make me smile and photograph them (or a symbol of them) and create an album or collage
  27. Go to a meal and movie with Mom, Gram, Scooter and all my sisters (including steps and in-laws, as much as possible)
  28. Learn three new games that can be played with a standard deck of cards
  29. Eat all homemade meals for a month - no restaurants or prepackaged meals
  30. Make and can salsa
  31. Make and can spaghetti sauce
  32. Make a sourdough starter and keep it alive as long as possible
  33. Stock the freezer with at least four meals, restocking as necessary
  34. Make my own vanilla extract
  35. Buy one really great pair of shoes
  36. Buy from a farm market or produce stand
  37. But nothing at all for one full week
  38. Set up a recycling center and teach the kids how to use it
  39. Use only fabric grocery bags for a month (sewn or knit), no paper or plastic
  40. Make and use cloth napkins
  41. Read to a child for at least 20 minutes each day
  42. Eat together at the table at least three times per week
  43. Go camping as a family
  44. Explore three state parks or nature preserves that we haven't been to before (1/3)
  45. Update contacts for close family and friends, including birthdays and anniversaries
  46. Fly kites with the kids
  47. Take a spur of the moment day trip with the family
  48. Write a "To be read..." letter to Bryant and each of the kids
  49. Picnic once a month, indoor if the weather is uncooperative
  50. Take a family vacation
  51. Put together a time capsule and plan when to open it, this should include all of us
  52. Go geocaching together
  53. Plant a tree
  54. Turn off/unplug energy vampires (cell phone chargers, Wii, etc...)
  55. Clean and organize the storage side of the basement, including shelves
  56. Plant and maintain a garden for a full summer
  57. Get rid of every piece of clothing we don't use - donate, trash or recycle into something usable
  58. Frame and hang at least one photo I took
  59. Frame and hang at least one photo Bryant took
  60. Check vehicle fluids once a month
  61. Complete a puzzle, hang it on the wall
  62. Make laundry soap
  63. Make sidewalk chalk with the kids and use it to decorate the cement and walkway
  64. Create mailbox shelf or other decorative storage for the entryway
  65. Private

  67. Send a care package to a soldier
  68. Complete and send a shoebox for Samaritan's Purse
  69. Donate to a local food pantry once a month - get the kids involved, too
  70. Take the time to contact management and compliment someone (waiter, cashier, office staff, etc...) at least 10 times  (0/10)
  71. Read all Harry Potter Books (0/7)
  72. Read all Lord of the Rings books, including The Hobbit (0/4)
  73. Read all Eragon books (0/3)
  74. Read Leaves of Grass
  75. Read at least five non-fiction books, including at least one biography (1/5)
  76. Read a total of 100 books, including the ones listed above
  77. Teach the kids basic first aid and how to call 911 properly
  78. Learn to play chess
  79. Learn to say "I love you" in at least 10 languages
  80. Learn the alphabet in ASL and teach the kids
  81. Learn to play at least one song on the guitar
  82. Give up all pop for a month - keep a daily journal of the experience
  83. Spend at least 10 minutes outdoors every single day
  84. Bring my weight to a healthy level, record it each Monday
  85. Go to the dentist
  86. Fix my bike and ride it in the summer, at least once a week
  87. Walk or bike the TART trail from Acme to Suttons Bay - in pieces, not all at once
  88. Write in a journal every day for a month, not in conjunction with any other journaled goals
  89. No fast food for three months
  90. Turn off the television and all game systems for a full week, twice a year
  91. Watch the sun set, talk all night, watch the sun rise and have breakfast with Bryant
  92. Have someone take a photo of me once a week for the duration of the project
  93. Go swimming with Bryant (actually go in the water!)
  94. No late library books
  95. Make homemade deodorant
  96. Go a full week without using my computer at all
  97. Visit Detroit with Bryant
  98. Compete in the Pistol Club Competition at least once
  99. Take a photo of the same spot once a month for a year, frame and hang
  100. Blog every day for a full month, even when I have nothing to say
  101. Post photos and/or commentary as each project is finished - don't be afraid to record failures and lessons learned
